Availability
Performances are available for most any event, including weddings, funerals, wakes, retirement partiesand much more!
* If can not fill your request due to differences in schedule or required piping ability, we will usually try to find another performer(s) and/or make referrals to another performer(s) as a courtesy.
Preparation
A piper requires a place to prepare both their instrument and themselves, preferably out of direct earshot of the guests/attendees.
Volume Highland Bagpipes are extremely loud and their sound carries long distances. If the piping is to be a surprise, please keep this in mind. A room far-removed from the event or even a neighbor's house is ideal.
Outdoor Functions Rain will harm bagpipes. If the forecast calls for wet weather, please provide a sheltered location for piping.
Special Tunes
While it is generally against policy to learn new tunes for an event, on occasion it may be possible to do so on the following conditions:
1. Request must be made a minimum of eight to twelve months in advance.
2. We will research the tune in question to determine if it is feasible and/or desirable to learn and play.
3. If it is determined that your request can be filled, an additional fee for learning the tune, along with a deposit (50% of total bid) and signed contract will be required before starting to learn the new tune.
*All deposits are non-refundable
